Axiomtek announced the availability of three PICMG 1.3 (SHB Express™) backplanes, the FAB109, FAB110 and FAB111, which are designed to meet all requirements defined by the PICMG 1.3 standard and support a variety of PCIe and PCI cards, offering system developers high performance, high bandwidth and rich capability base boards for I/O intensive systems. The space-saving backplanes were developed for image processing, gaming and infotainment applications. The slot configurations and other specifications for the FAB109, FAB110 and FAB111 are as follows:

FAB109: 5-slot ATX-supported PICMG 1.3 Passive Backplane
The FAB109 features a PICMG 1.3 CPU card slot, one PCIe x16 slot and three PCIe x1 slots, and built in a 24-pin ATX power connector and 8-pin connector for thermal detected board. Two high speed USB 2.0 ports are featured. The FAB109 is compatible with Axiomtek’s AX60501 and AX6052 chassis.

FAB110: 5-slot ATX-supported PICMG 1.3 Passive Backplane
The FAB110 offers one PCIe x16 slot, one PCIe x4 slots and two 32bit/33MHz PCI slots as well as the PICMG 1.3 slot for the SHB (system host board). The onboard 24-pi ATX power connector and 8-pin connector for thermal detected board are featured. Furthermore, the backplane supports two high speed USB 2.0 ports. The FAB110 is designed for the 6-slot industrial chassis, such as Axiomtek’s AX60501 and AX6052.

FAB111: 7-slot ATX-supported PICMG 1.3 Passive Backplane
The FAB111 has a PICMG 1.3 CPU card slot for the SHB (system host board) and offers one PCIe x16 slot, one PCIe x4 slots and four 32bit/33MHz PCI slots. Two high-speed USB 2.0 ports, a 24-pin ATX power connector and an 8-pin connector for thermal detected board are featured. The FAB110 is designed for the 8-slot industrial chassis, such as Axiomtek’s AX60551and AX60552.
